The speech by Bill Gates I just posted has started up a discussion between prominent economists about the viability of CSR programs for the long-term future. Fascinating stuff, and eventually what I might like to do with my career down the road. I've talked about what I'd (eventually) like to do on this blog, and these activities aren't mutually exclusive. They can be thought of as different sides of the same thing.
The book is being edited by Conor Clarke and former Slate editor Michael Kinsley.
